Challenge success.

ReFuel have picked up one of the region’s top environmental awards following investment in additional biofuel production capacity that will almost triple production over the coming months. The company’s commitment to biofuel from sustainable supplies – waste vegetable oils (WVO) and co-products – has driven planning of the new plant which is able to process large volumes of waste oil to supply the growing demand for biofuel for ROCS-qualifying CHP usage.

Developing partnerships with commercial organisations with biofuel-driven CHP installations as public sector organisations not only helps fulfil the need for an alternative fuel, but helps raise the profile of biofuel and increase awareness of how all businesses can contribute to an improved environment by lowering emissions and reducing their carbon footprint. The Knowsley Chamber ‘Environmental Challenge’ is awarded each year to the Merseyside business the judges believe has had the greatest impact on environmental production and awareness across the region.
